1. Agreement

These terms apply to your use of handsoffsalestax.com and its subdomains (the "Sites"), operated by Tax Matrix Technologies, LLC, doing business as Hands Off Sales Tax ("HOST," "we," "us"). By using the Sites, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Sites.

These terms cover the website only. Our paid services are governed by the engagement letter and service terms you sign with us.

2. Website content is general information

The articles, guides, state pages, charts, calculators and other resources on the Sites ("Content") are general information. They are not advice tailored to your business, and reading them does not make you a client. HOST gives sales tax advice only to clients, under a signed engagement letter for that service.

Reading the Content, using a tool, submitting a form or booking a call does not create a client relationship with HOST. A client relationship begins only when you and HOST sign an engagement letter.

Before you act on anything you read here, confirm it with a qualified adviser or with us under a signed engagement.

3. Accuracy of Content and tools

Sales tax rules, rates and thresholds change often. We work to keep the Content accurate, but it may be incomplete, out of date or contain errors. Dates on articles show when they were published or updated, not that they are current today.

The sales tax calculator, rate lookup, economic nexus chart and similar tools give estimates based on the information you enter and the data available to us. Do not rely on them alone to calculate, collect or file tax. You are responsible for the tax you collect and remit.

4. Using the Sites

You may view, download and print Content for your own internal business use. You may not:

• Copy, republish or sell Content, except for short quotes with credit and a link to the source page
• Use automated tools to scrape, harvest or bulk-download Content or data from the Sites
• Use Content or data from the Sites to build or train a competing product or service
• Interfere with the Sites' security or operation, or try to access areas you are not authorized to use
• Submit false information, spam or malicious code through our forms

The Sites, the Content and the Hands Off Sales Tax and TaxMatrix names and logos belong to HOST or its licensors.

5. Information you send us

When you submit a form, book a call or email us, we handle your information as described in our Privacy Policy. Please don't send sensitive financial details, such as bank account numbers, through website forms. We'll provide a secure method when we need them.

6. Downloads and other websites

Guides and worksheets offered in exchange for your email address are covered by these terms. Links to other websites, including partner and government sites, are for convenience. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Sites and Content are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise the Sites will be uninterrupted or error-free.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HOST is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any tax, interest or penalties, arising from your use of the Sites or reliance on the Content. Our total liability for any claim related to the Sites is limited to $100.

This section does not limit our responsibilities under a signed engagement letter.

9. Changes

We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page with a new version number and effective date. Earlier versions stay available at /legal/website-terms/versions/. Continuing to use the Sites after a change means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute about the Sites will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania.
